York University - Emergency Centre
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project involved the installation of new emergency generator system and a tenant fit-up.
An area of approximately 15,000sq.ft of emergency response area was provided with emergency power. The project involved engineering for a new 90kW emergency generator to power the emergency operations centre. The generator is natural gas fired and is installed in an outdoor enclosure.
A stand alone HVAC system was also installed for the emergency response area and connected to the emergency power system. An interior office renovation was also completed. The area measured approximately 10,000sq.ft spread over two floors.
Engineering Services for this project included:
• All normal and emergency power distribution
• Lighting systems design (347V)
• Life safety systems design
• Voice and data systems design
• Coordination with ESA and the TSSA
