Treasure Hill - Skygrove

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

MAT 4Site Engineers was retained by Treasure Hill to prepare the Mechanical Engineering and Design of a new set of retail buildings in Aurora. The name of the development is Skygrove.

The development features three individual structures, one of which was a designated Macdonald’s restaurant. Our scope was to provide our full services for the two main structures (blocks B and C) and assistance with the review of the related main mechanical services for the Macdonald’s restaurant.

Blocks B and C measure approximately 34,000 square feet in total area. The buildings include 22 individual units that were designed as shell construction. Each unit was designed with individual HVAC systems, natural gas metering, domestic cold water connection, drainage rough-in, and fire protection.

The project was designed to exceed the most recent version of the Ontario Building Code’s SB-10 (energy efficiency) requirements. We also with Treasure Hill to identify and implement various low cost energy savings opportunities to maximize the benefits of these additional systems.

Services

Project services included feasibility planning, conceptual planning, detailed engineering, contract administration and close-out. The systems designed included HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection and controls.
