PROJECT DESCRIPTION

MAT 4Site Engineers has been retained as part of a design build team to complete the Mechanical Engineering & Design for a new 140,000 sq.ft. Health Care Centre at 20 Brodie Drive, Richmond hill, Ontario.

The building shall be designed to all current Ontario Building Code, Canadian Standard Association, and applicable standards.

The building shall include functional operating rooms, MRI/imaging area, pharmacy, sterilization areas, commercial tenant space, etc…

The mechanical systems include a primary heating hot (glycol) water system which serves the health care/operating room floor (B-2 occupancy). Dedicated MUA and AHU also serve the B-2 occupancy on the 2nd level.

The remainder of the building is conditioned by stand-alone heat pumps, heat pump loop systems and common MUA unit.

The building design included a sustainable green roof design.

The design/build project is currently at the end of the design phase.

Project Services

The project involves conceptual design, detailed design & engineering, contract administration, and close out services. The systems designed include HVAC, Plumbing and Drainage, BAS, and Fire Protection.
